The Heart Behind The Table
The Kerala Table is more than just a restaurant — it is a heartfelt tribute to the rich coastal flavours of God's Own Country, brought to life in Navi Mumbai. Founded in 2023 by Ranjit Nair at just 25, it began with a simple vision: to serve authentic Kerala food that feels honest, rooted, and full of memory. Growing up in Mumbai while staying deeply connected to his family's roots in Thrissur, Kerala, Ranjit's love for Malabar cuisine was shaped by childhood memories of roasted spices, fresh curry leaves, coconut oil, and home-style seafood.
Inspired by these traditions, he created a space where every dish reflects the warmth of a traditional Kerala kitchen. While Mumbai offers countless dining options, he believed that truly authentic Kerala seafood and coastal delicacies were still difficult to find. The Kerala Table was created to bridge that gap and bring genuine Malabar flavours to Navi Mumbai.
Today, The Kerala Table celebrates heritage, culture, and authentic taste. From fiery seafood curries and coconut-based gravies to traditional banana-leaf meals and signature Malabar specialties, every plate is prepared with deep respect for Kerala's culinary legacy. For Ranjit, this journey is about more than serving food — it is about preserving memories, sharing traditions, and giving Mumbaikars a taste that feels like home.
